The MLS game was intense from the start. Both teams traded chances in the first half. Colorado scored first and went on to score another goal to win.
For power soccer athletes, the pacing felt familiar. Every touch builds toward a goal. A low-scoring game can still be exciting when the buildup is good.
Halftime on the pitch
At halftime, Caitlin brought the Rolling Rapids onto the field. The stadium announcer introduced the team and recognized them as Presidents Division National Champions, the title they earned at the 2026 MK Battery Conference Cup Nationals.
That moment mattered. These athletes train and compete at a national level, and hearing that title in a pro stadium showed them they belong in the same kind of spotlight as any other champion.
A fun night with the team
The second half had drama too. Two Sporting Kansas City players received red cards, including one player sent off for what he said during the match.
Back in the stands, the team had a lighter moment after Cameron Broyles and Dominic Romitoswitched seats at halftime. A ball kicked out of play bounced off a stair rail and hit Cameron's knee, right where Dom had been sitting in the first half. The team still jokes that Cameron saved Dom.
